ANNOTAZIONI
Foto INVN 10227, verso: perizia dattiloscritta su carta non vergata e incollata: "The picture reproduced in this photograph is, according / to my opinion, an authentic work by the painter Deodato Orlandi, / who was active in Lucca at the end of the XIIIth and beginning / of the XIVth Century (ca. 1288-1327). It shows exactly the / same types, the same style of drawing and colouring as Orlandi's / signed works in Lucca and Pisa and must have been painted about / the year 1300 or shortly before. It is still entirly in the / tradition of the XIIIth Century art, and must, indeed, be / considered an exceptionally important example of that early school of Tuscan painting. / December 1927 / Osvald Síren".
