Notes Foto sup 2869, verso del supporto secondario: nota anonima manoscritta: Sparta. The so called tomb of Leonidas one quarter of a mile north of the town. It is an oblong structure of good hellenic masonry, about 35 feet by 32 and standing on a plenth. It may have been a temple. The real tomb that contained the heros bones, brought from Thermopylae, was at the theatre - so says Pausanias".
