D. and dedicated a Sept. Severus, / Julia Donna and Caracalla. / By the inscription it seems to have been erected, or at least repaired / by a certain Quintus Clodius. / It is the finest quadrifrons arch existing. / In the 6th Century it was built into the walls of Theveste by Salomon, / Belisarius lieutenant".
