Foto sup 1299, verso del supporto secondario: nota anonima manoscritta: "This Mosaic of the Virgin and S. Gennaro is said like very ancient; indeed it is claimed as the earliest Madonna picture in Naples, but the art is Gothic and so is the lettering. The inscription says that Lellus worked at the mosaic in 1309".
