Foto sup 2446, verso del supporto secondario: nota anonima manoscritta: "Athens. Very large sarcophagus in the shape of a bed found in 1874 at the onter door of the Dipylon. The cushion is decorated in low relief with Tritons and Nereids. In it were found the jewels and ornaments of two women, Philotera and Araymone. These are in the Museum, the sarc. being still in situ".
